Information about CHRA

Chadwell Heath Residents’ Association (CHRA)  has been working to promote and support the interests and concerns of local residents for over a century, having originally been founded, as The Ratepayers’ Association, in 1902.  It is a not-for- profit organisation, led by a group of voluntary members who organise and run meetings on behalf and for the benefit of all residents living in the Chadwell Heath and Whalebone Wards.

CHRA is not affiliated to any political party. However, we have established and maintained strong links with our Ward Councillors and the elected MP, regardless of the political parties that they represent. The Association has valuable contact with Council Officers who manage various council departments and are invited to attend our meetings. We have good contact with our local Police Officers, who also attend most of our meetings. Residents have the opportunity to debate and present questions to all speakers, including special guests, on various local issues.
