The Borough of Barking and Dagenham is consulting residents on the future of property licensing in the borough, and has outlined a number of proposals. The aim is to help set standards, tackle poor management and improve the quality of private rented homes. The borough wants to hear from anyone interested in private rented housing, including tenants, landlords, community organisations and local residents. An online questionnaire enables all interested parties to have their say on what they consider to be areas of concern related to rental properties, as well as make suggestions.
